Bringing together men and women from a diverse range of economic, geographic, and educational backgrounds who possess an interest in assuming effective leadership roles. Class members will experience a range of fields from Health and Human Services, Agriculture, to Local Government, and MORE!
Leadership Susquehanna Valley attracts individuals who are employed in the private and public sectors, as well as those who are self-employed or retired. Through team exercises, class interaction, field trips, and sharing meals together, class members often develop professional relationships that last well beyond graduation. In a recent survey, class members report that Leadership Susquehanna Valley helped them to:
Enhance their networking capabilities;
Improve their customer service and communication skills;
Build effective professional relationships;
Gain insights into regional issues and public policymaking;
Learn about unmet needs in the Valley;
Understand how they can be a force for positive change.
LSV does this by:
Bringing together men and women from a diverse range of economic, geographic, and educational backgrounds who possess an interest in assuming effective leadership roles
Preparing each person for service within the area’s communities by providing training, information, and experience
Assisting alumni in becoming connected and involved in organizations and initiatives that improve the lives of those living in the Valley
Exposing class members to ideas, organizations, and people that any one person would not otherwise be exposed to in their life
Developing relationships with class members that will last beyond the scope of the program
