Greater Susquehanna Valley Young Professionals Scholarship

GSVYP Scholarship Application

Guidelines | Application

Due Date: Friday, June 7, 2024

The Greater Susquehanna Valley Young Professionals (GSVYP) have generously designated funding to grant one partial scholarship for enrollment in Leadership Susquehanna Valley (LSV). This scholarship, valued at $500.00, will be disbursed directly to LSV, offsetting a portion of the candidate's annual tuition fee.

Preference for the Greater Susquehanna Valley Young Professionals (GSVYP) Scholarship will be given to candidates who are:

  • Employed by a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization or small business (<75 employees) in the Susquehanna Valley.

  • Employed by a member business of the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce.

  • Employed by a business or organization demonstrating a need for financial assistance.

  • Active in the GSV Young Professionals Group and have attended at least one YP event in the past year.

  • Actively engaged in their community.

Upon acceptance to the program and while enrolled, candidates must maintain a good-faith relationship with the Greater Susquehanna Valley Young Professionals. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Routinely updating the GSVYP committee on the LSV experience.

  • Participating in all LSV activities so as to graduate on-time.

  • Permitting via photo release form both Leadership Susquehanna Valley and the GSVYP to utilize the candidate’s photo in publications related to the scholarship.

Notification of scholarship funds received will be given over the phone by the LSV Executive Director and followed up by written letter.

Upon acceptance of the scholarship, any outstanding balances must be settled within 30 days of receiving the invoice unless the tuition sponsor has agreed to a payment schedule. Not adhering to this timeline will lead to the suspension of LSV activities for the recipient. If the recipient fails to meet all graduation requirements, the organization will forfeit the scholarship and be issued an invoice for the full amount. The tuition sponsor, responsible for paying the fee, will receive all related invoices.
